Seasonal allergies affect millions of people, but symptoms are often mistaken for the common cold:
- Nasal congestion
- Runny nose
- Itchy, watery eyes
- Sore throat
- Sinus pressure
- Sneezing
Tip 1
Keep track of pollen levels. When pollen is high, keep windows and doors closed.
Tip 2
Stay indoors on dry, windy days. These days are more likely to stir up pollen.
Tip 3
If you need to be outside, wear a face mask to reduce exposure to pollen and other allergens.
Tip 4
Shower immediately after being outdoors to rinse off allergens.
Tip 5
Use high-efficiency filters in your home and car heating and cooling systems.
