Advanced Trauma Surgery at UH
In trauma care, especially complex trauma such as head trauma or brain trauma, time is precious. The Level I Trauma Center at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center provides patients with immediate access to the highest level of trauma surgery care.
At the UH Level I and Level III trauma centers, patients suffering from traumatic injury and often life-threatening conditions are rapidly evaluated by an expert team that includes emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, trauma anesthesiologists and specialty trauma service providers.
UH is a member of the Northern Ohio Trauma System, which coordinates trauma treatment for patients throughout Cuyahoga County and Northeast Ohio.
