Behavioral Health Services

UH provides traditional psychiatric assessments, medication management, individual counseling, group counseling, case management and additional adult outpatient psychiatric services.

UH offers state-of-the-art outpatient addiction treatment, including comprehensive assessment, ambulatory detoxification, partial hospitalization, medication-assisted treatment, individual counseling and an Intensive Outpatient Program.

UH offers such inpatient mental health services as urgent assessment and consultation services.

As part of University Hospitals’ Advanced Primary Care model, we embed licensed social workers in our primary care offices to help identify and treat mild to moderate mental health issues on-site whenever possible.

UH Behavioral Health Hubs are geographically distributed, community-based ambulatory centers that provide specialized, high-quality care. Individuals with complex and/or chronic mental illness, substance use disorders and co-occurring medical complexity are best served in this setting.

We provide board-certified and/or licensed mental health professionals who are specifically trained in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health and emotional disorders in children.
