Didactic Training
In addition to hands-on learning centered on our broad patient base, we offer structured didactic courses that cover neurophysiology, neuropathology and courses in neurodiagnostics including electromyography and electroencephalography. The materials from these courses provide an excellent board preparation source.
All residents take a month-long introductory course on clinical research and study design, offered through the medical school at Case Western Reserve University during the first year of their training.
Weekly case-based conferences allow us to learn from each other about interesting and challenging patients. Weekly neurology grand rounds, epilepsy grand rounds and pediatric grand rounds allow residents to keep up to date in these disciplines that are integral to their child neurology training.
