Characteristics of Our Residents
We welcome applications from medical students who are committed to patient care, education and scholarship in child neurology.
In general, our trainees are excellent clinicians, educators and involved in research. Most residents are interested in pursuing a career in academic medicine as well as some who have pursued a career in private practice.
After this five-year training program, residents are eligible to sit for the boards through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and are also Pediatric Board eligible through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
After Graduation
Graduates of our program have gone on to pursue additional training in areas such as epilepsy, childhood headaches and neurogenetics. They have accepted positions at major academic centers across the country.
