Offering a full range of diagnostic imaging services for children in a family-centered environment

The Division of Pediatric Radiology is responsible for all diagnostic imaging for the nationally renowned University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. Within the division, a team of professionals work side by side to provide specialized care to our young patients and their families. Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, our doctors hold special qualifications in pediatric radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, neuroradiology, pediatric nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Our team also includes radiology nurses skilled in bladder catheterization, venipuncture and sedation and technologists, specially trained in pediatrics, who are available 24 hours a day. A child life specialist is also available to prepare and support the children and their parents through radiologic procedures.

The pediatric radiology team is committed to using the lowest possible radiation doses while maintaining excellent imaging results. We utilize state of the art computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and radiography machines dedicated to children. Our cutting edge MRI division also provides excellent care for out pediatric patients as does our nuclear medicine, PET/CT and interventional divisions.

The Division of Pediatric Radiology participates in teaching medical students from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine as well as residents and fellows in radiology. Our physicians also collaborate with the clinical services of the hospital in multiple research endeavors.
