Advanced Inpatient and Outpatient Care
At the Angie Fowler Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Institute at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, we provide unique age-appropriate inpatient and outpatient facilities for babies, children, adolescents and young adults to enhance the specialized care that is delivered. Highly trained pediatric oncology nurses, a dedicated pharmacist, a nurse navigator, and a team of pediatric hematology and oncology experts staff both our inpatient and outpatient units.
In our outpatient clinic and infusion center, transfusions, chemotherapy, infusions of non-oncology medications, and other special procedures can be performed without hospital admission. This unit also has a convenient onsite hospital pharmacy and laboratory.
In addition, we offer radiation oncology services at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. This includes the University Hospitals Proton Therapy Center. Proton therapy is a type of radiation therapy that can be used in many pediatric cancers to provide radiation with fewer side effects.
