Infectious Disease/Wound Care Podiatric Fellowship
The purpose of the University Hospitals Infectious Disease/Wound Care Fellowship is to provide a well-rounded, encompassing experience in all aspects of foot and ankle reconstruction. The fellowship will provide the latest technologies and advancements in foot and ankle surgery. Educational courses and expertise are extremely important and will take priority during the fellows 12 months. The secondary purpose of this fellowship is to integrate the latest technologies and foot and ankle reconstruction into a private practice and how to navigate this as a new practitioner.
Program Goals
The goals and objectives of this fellowship are to not only advance but solidify the candidate’s surgical skills and increase efficiency in the operating room. The fellowship will focus on pre-operative and post-operative management, wound care, surgical decision making and operating room time. Education and training including new methods and training courses will be at the utmost importance during their fellowship year.
