Offering Comprehensive Training in a Community Hospital-Based Setting
University Hospitals Community Consortium (UHCC) is proud to offer comprehensive medical education programs within the community. Our programs offer both an osteopathic integrative experience enhanced by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education's (ACGME) excellence in education.
These internship, residency and fellowship programs are available at UH Geauga Medical Center, UH Parma Medical Center and UH St. John Medical Center.
Our training programs offer clinical rotations in a variety of disciplines, so that interns, residents and fellows can gain a well-rounded educational experience in patient care. Specialty areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopaedic surgery and nephrology are covered through our medical education programs.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The offices of Graduate Medical Education within University Hospitals Community Consortium are committed to recruiting, training and retaining diverse classes of residents and fellows. We provide an inclusive environment to support all genders, races, ethnicities, religions and socio-economic backgrounds. We believe diversity creates innovative opportunities to increase the educational value for trainees and care for our patient populations in various health settings in northeast Ohio.
Our residents, fellows and faculty participate in a variety of activities that support DEI including implicit bias training, education on holistic reviews of applications and recruiting events for underrepresented minorities. We value the skills, talents and contributions of all populations equally and promote respectful dialogue in all interactions. We are committed to system wide and community wide initiatives to eliminate health disparities and improve health outcomes.
