Director's Message

As Director of University Hospitals’ WONDOOR Global Health Program, I am honored to serve with a team that helps to raise the level of quality healthcare for those in need. This humanitarian effort seeks to increase the availability of quality healthcare through education and research -- to help build sustainable programs for long term health success.

We reach within and beyond the University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University communities every day to improve health through advances in technology and improvements in diagnostics and treatments. Because everyone should have access to quality healthcare, both abroad and in our own backyard, WONDOOR is bringing that knowledge to those who need it most.

We take a proactive approach through WONDOOR to improve global health by providing training for OB/GYN care to significantly improve maternal morbidity rates in low-resource communities. Our team members gain insight and sensitivity to cultural differences and the challenges faced every day in other parts of the U.S. and the world.

We are so grateful for the interest and support we receive and I welcome the opportunity to discuss this important global health initiative.
