How to Apply
All applications for the Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Endocrinology Fellowship should go through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Internal Medicine residents usually start the endocrinology fellowship application process during the latter part of their second year or the very early part of their third year of residency. Applicants are interviewed between August 15 and September 30 of the year preceding the start of the fellowship.
Endocrinology Fellowship Selection Process
Candidates are ranked by a selection committee based on the following:
- Application
- Interest in the training program
- Strength of their prior training
- Other additional distinguishing features
Benefits for Endocrinology Fellows
Trainees are entitled to a four-week annual vacation, a salary commensurate with their level of training (PGY4 and PGY5 for year one and two of training, respectively), as well as health insurance in accordance with the policies of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
All second-year trainees are supported to attend at least one national meeting and a one-week board review (Endocrine University) offered by the Mayo Clinic. First- or second-year trainees who submit an abstract for any of the national meetings will be offered travel support.
