Complex High-Risk Coronary Intervention (CHIP) Fellowship Program

The Complex High-Risk Patients (CHIP) Coronary Intervention Fellowship at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute provides unique insights on how to provide the best care for fragile and high-risk patients undergoing highly complex percutaneous revascularization.
The CHIP fellowship is the second year-long part of the two-year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program, with special focus on all aspects of patient screening, procedural training and post-procedural care related to complex coronary diagnostic and interventional cases.
The fellow will rotate in 10 cath labs across University Hospitals regional medical centers, with most interventions performed at UH Cleveland Medical Center. The CHIP Fellow can expect 300-350 total cases (200-300 being CTOs). The fellow will also participate in a minimum of 8 hours/week of clinical research.
