Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Overview
The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at University Hospitals is a two-year training program that provides comprehensive training experience in all areas of interventional cardiology. The first year consists of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited interventional training year and focuses on all aspects of coronary intervention, including mechanical support. During the second year, fellows gain advanced interventional training in high-risk coronary (CHIP), endovascular, or structural intervention. Second-year interventional fellows can choose both a primary and secondary focus of interest in these areas, thus acquiring a broad range of advanced interventional skills.
Our faculty and fellows care for patients at:
- University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center
- University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center
- University Hospitals Parma Medical Center
- University Hospitals Portage Medical Center
- Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center
Academic development is an integral part of our training program, and fellows participate in the spectrum of basic, translational and clinical research, and also have teaching opportunities.
