Research
Academic development is an important part of educational and clinical training for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. Scholarly activities can range from basic science to translational research to clinical research, along with numerous teaching opportunities.
Interventional Cardiology Clinical Trials
There are multiple clinical trials currently ongoing across the University Hospitals system, and fellows have ample opportunity to participate in these trials, which include large, multi-center, randomized controlled clinical trials of novel technologies.
Research Opportunities for Co-Authorship
Fellows routinely co-author invited reviews, chapters, and original research during their training with opportunities to present at national meetings. Our faculty members include several internationally recognized experts and provide ongoing mentorship for research. Fellows are expected to dedicate time to scholarly activities. In general, first-author publications and presentations of research or cases at national meetings are expected of our graduates.
