UH On Demand Virtual Care should not be used for medical emergencies. Please call 9-1-1 or visit your nearest emergency room if you are experiencing serious symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or uncontrolled bleeding.

UH On Demand Virtual Care is perfect for treating conditions that require care but do not need in-person procedures or tests, such as:
- Allergies and sinus issues
- Cold, flu, COVID-19 and cough
- Ear pain (adults 18 years old and older)1

Patients can access UH On Demand Care from anywhere convenient to them – home, school or work. Due to licensing requirements, you must be physically located within the State of Ohio at the time of service to use UH On Demand Virtual Care.
- Does insurance cover UH On Demand Virtual Care visits?

UH On Demand Virtual Care visits are $65 per video visit. You may choose to bill your insurance (you may be asked to pay a copay) or you can choose not to use insurance and pay for this visit up front. Many insurances will apply a virtual visit to your deductible or cover part of the service.
- Will my primary care provider be notified of this visit?

We use electronic medical records, so your UH provider will be able see the record of this visit and coordinate referrals with University Hospitals specialists if you need further care.
- Can I do a UH On Demand Virtual Care visit with my child?

This service is available for pediatric patients age 1 year and older. Child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Please have a flashlight and thermometer handy.
