About

Caregiver Growth

Through our workforce development and outreach program, University Hospitals is committed to the growth and development of all of our caregivers. Whether they are seeking to progress in their current department or looking to explore other areas of interest, UH offers multiple options to support our caregivers at any point on their career journey.

Pathway Coach

Our Pathway Coach provides individualized career consultation to UH caregivers regarding their goals, education and career readiness, while also supporting the workforce needs of our organization. The coach serves as an advocate for caregivers and a trusted resource for managers, empowering each to strive for professional and personal growth, with the aim of strengthening our care teams. Our Pathway Coach is here to help employees advance their careers by offering:

  • One-on-One coaching
  • Career management workshops
  • Career exploration assistance
  • Education and Skill Building support

Pathway Programs

Pathway programs – including Pathway to PCNA and Professional Pathways – are internal skill-building programs to support caregivers in moving into advanced skilled, non-credentialed roles. Our caregivers can also take advantage of our many Earn and Learn programs.

Self-Driven Platforms

With balancing work, school, families and life, we want to ensure that our caregivers have access to growth and development tools at all times via our Employee Portal. Caregivers have access to:

  • Career Development Tips
  • UH Caregiver Academy
  • Grow. Perform. Succeed. Learning Management System (GPS)
