Welcome to research in the UH Ear, Nose & Throat Institute at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University. Our mission is to create a premier center for otolaryngology head and neck surgery science by fostering the highest quality research in the field and encouraging innovation through collaboration. While the department's research program encompasses all studies associated with conditions affecting the head and neck, the two primary areas of research include hearing/balance research and head and neck cancer research.

Case Head and Neck Cancer Research Collaborative
The Case Head and Neck Cancer Research Collaborative is a partnership between the Department of Biological Sciences at the School of Dental Medicine and the Department of Otolaryngology at the School of Medicine and University Hospitals that is organized around the scientific focus of improving the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancers.
