The University Hospitals Diabetes & Metabolic Care Center takes a collaborative approach to expanding critical research by involving leading translational scientists, physicians, educators and trainees with a vested interest in diabetes and metabolism to seek the support, expertise and resources necessary to promote collaboration and advancement in the field.
Our Center strives to be a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the innovation, education and treatment of diabetes, obesity and metabolism disorders with outstanding, cutting-edge programs in discovery, research, clinical applications and education over time.
Our multidisciplinary faculty is interested in all areas of research relating to diabetes, obesity and metabolism, drugs and device innovation, genetics, behavioral and population health, health disparities, clinical and translational research.
Creating an International Recognized Diabetes Research Unit
The UH Diabetes & Metabolic Care Center, in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, aims to contribute to the understanding of the physiology/pathology, treatment, prevention, education and outcomes of diseases related to diabetes, obesity, metabolism and those alike. In addition, it strives to become an internationally recognized unit with outstanding, cutting-edge programs in discovery research, clinical applications and education over time.
