The Division
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes consists of faculty members with diverse clinical and research interests, diabetes nurse educators, endocrine nurses, research staff, dietitians, and social workers. Our physicians and staff care for approximately 1,000 children and adolescents with diabetes and over 3,400 children and adolescents with various endocrine disorders. The division averages more than 10,000 outpatient visits per year. Members of the faculty direct a variety of research programs with special interests in diabetes mellitus and childhood obesity.
The Institution
UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. The medical school continues to expand its research effort and is now among the top medical schools for NIH funding. The Department of Pediatrics at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital consists of approximately 150 faculty members and is among the top ten departments of pediatrics in NIH funding. It is consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the country, as named by US News & World Report.
