A Steadfast Commitment to Quality and Family Centered Care
At UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, we are committed to a culture of innovation, leadership and high quality care. We take a personalized approach to treatment that keeps patients and their families at the center of care.
In approaching care quality, we not only provide some of the most advanced treatments in the world, but we also try to make treatments as minimally disruptive to the family as possible. It’s our goal to ensure our patients live an abundant life, surrounded by compassionate care teams and effective, convenient pulmonary treatment.
Improving Care Delivery & Outcomes
We are also constantly improving the way we deliver care. For example, our team initiated a system-wide project on asthma in the emergency room and inpatient settings. By investing in technologies that offer decision support at the point of care, we are working to standardize care and stay at the forefront of the latest industry guidelines. This helps us reduce the need for hospital admission and shorten the length of hospital stays.
Driving the Future of Pulmonology
Our pediatric pulmonology specialists are also teachers who are training tomorrow’s pulmonologists. We participate in ongoing research and clinical trials to pioneer therapies for pulmonary disease. Our research portfolio includes the world’s first stem cell trial for children with cystic fibrosis, exciting biological medications for children with severe asthma and promising new small-molecule therapy options.
