Families of children with disabilities often need extra help navigating their child’s medical conditions while also ensuring the entire family has the support they need. Resources offered by the UH Rainbow Pediatric Center for Comprehensive Care include:
Sibshops
Sibshops is a free program for children with special needs siblings. The quarterly meet-ups gives kids the opportunity to share and support each other while participating in games and other recreational activities.
Preparing the Family for Emergencies
The Be Ready: Families of Children and Youth with Disabilities and Medical Needs toolkit offers a suite of multi-language infographics and ADA-compliant videos to help families make plans in case of an emergency or disaster situation.
