Continuous Gastroenterology Research for Innovative and Enhanced GI Care
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s has a longstanding history of contributing to the field of pediatric gastroenterology through clinical and translational research. The Division’s research activities' goal is to improve the outcomes of patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, and nutritional disorders.
The Pediatric Gastroenterology team members are currently participating in investigating a wide range of disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, nutritional disorders, and food allergies. We are working to improve our understanding of and develop innovative treatments for children with gastrointestinal disorders.
Clinical Trials for Gastrointestinal Diseases affecting Children and Adolescents
The Division is supported by the University Hospitals Clinical Research Center in the performance of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventional trails. The Division participates trials in which the members have clinical expertise.
