The Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center
In 2006, Mel Berger, MD, helped to establish The Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s. The Foundation is dedicated to early and precise diagnosis, meaningful treatments, and ultimately cures of primary immunodeficiencies. The Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic Center also serves as a source of expertise in the FDA-approved subcutaneous delivery system for immunoglobulins. UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital served as one of the sites for the clinical trials, which led to the FDA approval of this therapy.
