Diversity in Recruitment

As a program within the University Hospitals Community Consortium, the program abides by a written diversity policy that reiterates the responsibility to cultivate and nurture diversity within our program and organization. Our diversity policy is a vital part in how we ensure that we can appropriately serve our community. Our selection criteria states that we will not discriminate with regard to gender, race, age, religion, color, creed, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or status as a protected veteran. We have set our focus on attracting a diverse group of applicants to our training program. We regularly review all marketing including websites, in order to avoid implicit bias in any information that we provide regarding the program. During recruitment, we involve many individuals in the interviewing process to include welcome events and the actual process of interviews in order to display the current diversity of our program. We retain qualified individuals into our system without discrimination to gender, race, age, religion, color, creed, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or status as a protected veteran.
