University Hospitals Offers Advanced Fellowship Training in Pain Medicine
Welcome to the Division of Pain Medicine website for fellows and fellowship information. We currently offer five Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited positions in our Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship. Our program offers a wonderful training opportunity with leading experts in the field of pain medicine with a strong emphasis on didactics and education. The city of Cleveland is a large metropolis that offers plenty of artistic, cultural and sport events.
The new ACGME requirements have resulted in better fellowship training opportunities in pain medicine. At University Hospitals, we are fortunate to have a large complement of outstanding faculty members with prolific clinical, research and educational experience who have teamed up to form the multidisciplinary Division of Pain Medicine. Our program offers fellows a great opportunity to train in a strong interventional pain medicine division while acquiring crucial skills in the related disciplines of neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry/psychology and anesthesiology.
Academic pursuit is strongly encouraged in the Division of Pain Medicine and our training program embraces the educational goals of the ACGME in the areas of patient care, medical knowledge, practice based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism and system based practice learning. University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University offer the perfect setting for this quest. The tradition of excellence for over 150 years at these institutions is carried through its faculty and employees and the stated mission of the hospital: To Heal. To Teach. To Discover. The Division of Pain Medicine boasts a very strong interventional component spanning all the major interventions with an impressive didactic and clinical curriculum provided by a world class faculty. An active research unit is also in place involved in clinical and translational projects.
To sum up, we welcome your interest in the Division of Pain Medicine at UH for your fellowship training and we encourage you to apply to what we believe is the best well-rounded training program in Pain Medicine.
Interested applicants can apply through ERAS.
