UH Parma Medical Center provides helpful resources for healthcare professionals in Parma and surrounding areas. We are able to transfer or refer a patient for specialty care at either UH Parma Medical Center or any of our other facilities within the University Hospitals system. We also provide educational opportunities for emergency medical services or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.

Professional Educational Program for Emergency Medical Services and CPR Training

The UH EMS Training & Disaster Preparedness Institute at UH Parma Medical Center offers EMS educational opportunities and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) training. Our faculty of nationally registered paramedics educate and train emergency medical personnel in Parma, Parma Heights, North Royalton, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Seven Hills, Broadview Heights and Newburgh Heights. Physician Resource Center

Physicians can access a wide range of useful information in one convenient place with our Physician Resource Center. The resource center offers information on referrals, continuing medical education (CME), patient care, clinical trials and research. It also offers access to our physician directory and other information about our services and programs. These resources are available for both University Hospitals physicians and healthcare providers outside our system.

Medical Education

The Department of Graduate Medical Education at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center is part of the University Hospitals Community Consortium. Having the resources of a nationally known healthcare system provides excellent opportunities for our osteopathic student programs. We offer an internal medicine residency that incorporates medical and surgical experience in a variety of settings, as well as ample opportunities for further education and research. Our residents receive extensive training under the supervision of some of the foremost experts in their respective fields. Our top tier training programs are accredited by the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
