University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center is a 287-licensed-bed hospital with additional campuses in Amherst, Avon and Sheffield and medical offices in North Ridgeville and Westlake. With almost 700 physicians in over 50 medical specialties with privileges at UH Elyria, our medical center has a long and storied history of providing exceptional healthcare services to the residents of Lorain County and Greater Western Cuyahoga County.
In addition to medical and surgical care, our healthcare practitioners provide education and support for a wide variety of health-related issues, including prenatal care, breastfeeding, weight management, diabetes, breast health and heart disease.

UH Elyria Medical Center has received the highest possible rating of five stars for quality from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that administers Medicare. CMS rates hospitals from one to five stars, based on their safety, efficiency and patient experience.
