Critical Care

The 20-bed Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU) provides care to critically ill and injured patients. The multidisciplinary TSICU team includes intensive care physicians from the Departments of Surgery, Anesthesia, and Emergency Medicine and clinical pharmacists. We work closely with specialty trained providers in Nursing, Dietary, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Speech Pathology.

The Trauma Intensive Care Unit is a high-acuity environment where information and patient status can change minute-to-minute. The TICU cares for approximately 80-90 patients each month. On any given day, about 14 patients are seen by the service.
