Our faculty continues to represent UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s nationally and internationally by participating on important industry committees and holding leadership positions in national orthopedic groups. 

George H. Thompson, MD, is executive editor of the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics.

Michael P. Glotzbecker, MD, is past chair of the Quality Safety Value (QSV) Committee for the Scoliosis Research Society and current chair of the QSV committee for the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA). He also is past chair of the Pediatric Spine Research Group and is treasurer elect for the Pediatric Spine Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Glotzbecker serves at UH Rainbow as the associate surgeon-in-chief and head of the Rainbow Surgical Site Infection Clinical Effectiveness Team. He was promoted to full professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2023.

Christina Hardesty, MD, continues as the leader of the Graduate Research Interest Group as well as a member of the Research Council for the Pediatric Spine Study Group (PSSG). She was also promoted to associate program director for the University Hospitals Residency Program.

R. Justin Mistovich, MD, serves on the board of Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Group (PRiSM) and has been past chair of the Tibial Spine Research Interest Group.

Raymond Liu, MD, is second past president of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society and past chair of the POSNA Research Committee.
