Sherri L. Bishop, Esq. joined University Hospitals as Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President of Institutional Relations and Development in 2004. She leads UH’s $2 billion Because of You: The Campaign for University Hospitals, which recently surpassed the $1.5 billion milestone. Additionally, she led UH’s highly successful, $1.5 billion Discover the Difference campaign, which concluded in 2017. As Chief Development Officer, she oversees UH’s long-term strategic plan for significant growth of philanthropy; all fundraising for UH’s system, comprised of 21 hospitals; and serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors Campaign Committee.
Previously, Ms. Bishop was Vice Chairman of Institutional Relations and Development at the Cleveland Clinic, was a business and health law attorney with McDonald Hopkins, and at Procter & Gamble was a nationally ranked sales manager and a leader in their national Sales Management Training School.
Ms. Bishop earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University Law School in 1990 and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1982. She also attended University of Oxford in England for comparative legal studies in 1997. Her awards and recognitions include: 2011 James P. Conway Mentor of the Year; 2008 Leadership Cleveland; 2006 Northern Ohio Live Rainmaker, and 2006 YWCA Women of Professional Excellence.
