Vasu Pandrangi, MD

Bio

Dr. Vasu Pandrangi currently serves as an ex-officio member of the UH Board of Directors, and is Chairman and medical staff trustee of the Southwest Community Health System Board of Trustees. Dr. Pandrangi is a plastic surgeon & Director of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery at UH Medical Practices and has served as chief of plastic surgery at Southwest General Health Center and St. John West Shore Medical Center in Westlake. He specializes in cosmetic surgery, hand surgery and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Pandrangi joined the staff of Southwest General Hospital in 1981, and has long served as president of the hospital's medical staff and chaired the hospital's board. He has also practiced at St. John West Shore Medical Center, Parma Community General Hospital, Lakewood Hospital, Fairview General Hospital, and Deaconess Hospital.

Dr. Pandrangi graduated from Andhra Medical College and received his surgical training at King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam. He completed additional post graduate training in England in surgery, orthopaedics, and trauma, and subsequently began a general surgery residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac, Mich., in 1974. Following those studies, he completed specialized training in plastic surgery at Saint Louis University.
