Irwin Haber

Bio

Irwin G. Haber, 66, has been the Chairman and owner of The PDI Group (PDI) since 1993. PDI is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of weapons and weapons platforms support systems, and aircraft support equipment. He emphasizes that customers must have a positive experience when working with PDI and that their experiences must be memorable, relationship-driven and personal in order to allow the Company to create new and greater economic value.

Under Irwin’s ownership, PDI has successfully completed several acquisitions and has increased its product offerings throughout the international defense community. Today, PDI provides weapons and weapons platform support equipment to the United States Air Force and Navy as well as 50 air forces throughout the world. In 2018, PDI was one of 44 companies to receive the Presidential “E Award” for excellence in exporting and, in 2017 was recognized by the US Small Business Administration as the “Exporter of the Year for Region V”.

He currently serves as the University Hospitals East Market Board Chairman following his term as University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center Board Chairman. He was recently the Ohio Chapter Chairman of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, a 501C3 organization and serves on its National Board of Directors. He has also served as the past President of Agnon School (now Mandel Jewish Day School) and AIPAC’s Northeast Ohio Council.

Irwin lives in the Eastern suburbs of Cleveland with his wife and has three adult children and five grandchildren. He enjoys time with his family, reading, exercising and is a big sports fan. Irwin is a graduate of The Ohio State University and holds a BSBA.
