Fact Accreditation for Bone Marrow & Stem Cell Transplants
UH Cleveland Medical Center Receives International Accreditation for Stem Cell Transplant Program
University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio has received internationally recognized accreditation by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT).
FACT is an internationally recognized accrediting body for hospitals and medical institutions offering stem cell transplant. The FACT accreditation indicates the accredited institution has met the most rigorous standards in every aspect of stem cell therapy. This covers the entire spectrum of stem cell therapy, from clinical care to donor management, cell collection, processing, storage, transportation, administration and cell release.
Our processing laboratory is credentialed for ‘more than minimal manipulation’, a recognition of the expertise and experience with cell therapy approaches in our institution, including manufacturing and conducting clinical trials with CAR T cells, NK cells, mesenchymal stromal cells, virus-specific T cells, and others. This specialized knowledge has allowed us to add immune effector cell credentialing to our program.
