The following organizations allow teens and young adults to connect with other cancer patients and survivors:
- Stupid Cancer: The nation’s largest support community for young adults affected by cancer, offering online forums, a weekly radio show, conferences and more.
- 13thirty Cancer Connect (formerly Teens Living with Cancer): Provides teen-oriented resources designed to help teens cope with their disease and treatment, and connect with other teens on similar journeys.
- First Descents: First Descents offers young adult cancer fighters and survivors a free outdoor adventure experience designed to empower them to climb, paddle and surf beyond their diagnosis, defy their cancer, reclaim their lives and connect with others doing the same.
- Imerman Angels: Matches and individually pairs a person touched by cancer (a cancer fighter or survivor) with someone who has fought and survived the same type of cancer (a Mentor Angel) for 1-on-1 connections by phone or email.
- Planet Cancer: A community of peer support and advocacy for AYAs with cancer, designed to connect and empower AYAs and help them access support and resources.
- Cancer Hope Network: Cancer Hope Network matches patients and families with trained volunteers who have recovered from a similar cancer experience.
- Cancer Support Community: A national organization that provides support groups, stress reduction and cancer education workshops, nutrition guidance, exercise sessions, and social events.
- Caring Bridge: CaringBridge is a nonprofit that provides personal, protected websites where you can share updates, receive messages of encouragement and coordinate everyday help.
- MyLifeLine.org: A nonprofit dedicated to providing free website to people affected by cancer.
- Vital Options: A nonprofit cancer communication, education, and advocacy organization dedicated to generating global conversations about the cancer experience among patients, medical professionals and advocates.
