Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program at UH Geauga Medical Center
Welcome to the University Hospitals Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program. We are a fully accredited AOA Program and also have our initial ACGME accreditation backdated to 2016. Our dynamic program takes advantage of the full breadth of University Hospitals across the greater Cleveland region. Our integrative program has affiliated rotations in UH’s neurosurgery, neurology, sports, and orthopedic departments. The inpatient experience is primarily conducted at our freestanding rehabilitation hospital in Beachwood, Ohio.
Resident education is a multi-institutional activity at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, The Cleveland Clinic, The Cleveland VA Medical Center, and The MetroHealth System. The clinical and evidence-based medicine didactics and select workshops (EMG and US) are based at and led by The MetroHealth System. We also participate in OMM workshops on a regular basis with our UH faculty to meet requirements for our Osteopathic Recognition.
Our program in the Community Consortium consists of a four-year residency. The first year is filled with transitional year requirements based on our ACGME accreditation and the remaining three-years are PM&R based rotations and electives.
