Pet Pals

The Breen Breast Center is very fortunate to have one canine assistant. The dog is raised by expert trainers through a non-profit organization, Canine Assistants in Milton Georgia. Handlers are hand-picked at University Hospitals and sent to the canine assistant facility to be trained to work in the hospital setting.

Our mission is to work with this highly trained canine assistant to improve the patient experience in our breast centers and to enhance our work environment. Our dog works in Radiology or Surgical Oncology to provide goodwill and love to all who are undergoing the stress of something as simple as a mammogram or as complex as a cancer diagnosis.

Meet Blue

Blue is a very chill guy who likes to provide love and positivity to those he encounters. He loves treats and any kind of food. He is very social and brings a smile to everyone he meets.
