Rotations
Required and Elective Activities
Required Rotations (4 Week)
- Hospital Orientation/Staffing Orientation
- Cardiac ICU
- Cardiothoracic/Surgical ICU
- Trauma/Surgical ICU
- Medical ICU 1 and 2
- Neurosciences ICU
- Emergency Medicine
- Research Month
Required Rotations (Longitudinal):
- Pharmacy Research (Yearlong research project and 6-month long MUE)
- Emergency Code Response (12 months)
- Critical Care Leadership (11 months)
- Inpatient Pharmacy Staffing (11 months; every 3rd weekend)
Elective Rotations (any of the required ones plus below list):
- Pediatric Critical Care (4 weeks)
- Solid organ transplant* (2 or 4 weeks)
- Bone Marrow Transplant* (2 or 4 weeks)
- Infectious diseases* (2 or 4 weeks)
- Medical Toxicology (2 or 4 weeks)
*with focus on critically ill patients
Additional Required Activities:
- Present abstract and results at a Pharmacy conference
- Presentation at Pharmacy Grand Rounds
- Journal club(s)
- Monthly topic/case-based presentations
- Teaching activities
- Prepare a manuscript suitable for publication
- Lead Resident Opportunity
