Christopher Di Felice, MD is a pulmonary and critical care staff physician at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). He is the Director of Interventional Pulmonology at the Cleveland VAMC and Co-Director of the VA Partnership to Increase Access to Lung Cancer Screening. After completing his pulmonary and critical care fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in 2020, Dr. Di Felice pursued advanced training in Interventional Pulmonology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Di Felice specializes in minimally invasive endoscopic techniques to diagnose and treat benign and malignant diseases of the mediastinum, lungs, airways and pleura. His research interests include medical device investigation, bronchoscopy education, and quality improvement.

Joanne McKell, MD, is a specialist in airway disease and a clinical educator in the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Allergy at Louis A. Stokes VA Medical Center. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and coordinates the annual Clinical Immersion Week Pulmonary and Critical Care sessions for Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine students at the VA. Dr. McKell graduated from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and completed Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center and Clinics in Chicago, Illinois. She completed clinical fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, then returned for a research fellowship to the University of Illinois.

Since arriving in Cleveland in 2015, she has participated in a number of administrative, educational, and Quality Improvement initiatives at Case Medical Center and at the VA. She is currently the director of Outpatient Pulmonary Medicine at the VA Medical Center, the Medical Director of the Home Oxygen program, and the co-chair of the CPR Committee. Her research interests include characterization of the effects of airborne hazards on respiratory function in Veterans, COPD, and asthma-COPD overlap. She is an active member in the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians and is board-certified in Critical Care Medicine and in Pulmonary Medicine.
