Strengths of our Infectious Disease Specialist Training

The strengths of our ID Fellowship Training Program are our diverse faculty, a wide breadth of clinical experience at three training sites and rich opportunities in research. Our research opportunities for trainees are many and include HIV, TB, Global Health and drug-resistant bacteria. We have premier international and national HIV programs (AIDS Clinical Trials Unit and Centers for AIDS Research). In addition, our Infectious Diseases Fellowship include:

  • Multiple sources of salary support for fellows, including T32 training grants and the VA GRECC to allow a third unaccredited year of training to continue with research pursuits.
  • Strong track record in training academic infectious diseases physicians
