Application Requirements

Application Requirements

All applications for our Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program are accepted via ERAS and we participate in National Residency Match Program (NRMP).

Application Materials submitted to ERAS

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed CV highlighting your medical education, training, research experience, publications, presentations, and relevant work experience.
  • Personal Statement: A statement describing your interest in infectious diseases, career goals, and reasons for pursuing a fellowship in this specialty.
  • Letters of Recommendation: 3 letters of recommendation are required. These should include letters from:
    • Your residency program director.
    • Faculty members who can attest to your clinical skills, research, and interest in infectious diseases.
  • USMLE/COMLEX Scores: Official transcripts of your USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) or COMLEX (Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination) scores. Completion of Steps 1, 2 and 3 are required.
  • Medical School Transcript: An official transcript from your medical school.
  • Dean’s Letter (MSPE): A Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE) from your medical school.

Interviews

  • All interviews for academic year 2024-2025 will be held virtually and include:
    • Program overview
    • One –to one interviews with faculty members
    • Meeting with current fellows

International Applicants

  • Visa Status: We accept applications from J1 and H-1B visa holders
  • ECFMG certification required

Timeline

  • Application Submission: All applications are submitted via ERAS
  • Virtual Interviews: Typically held in September and October on Thursdays and Saturdays
  • Match Process: We participate in the All-in National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
