Dermatology NP Post-Masters Candidates
Nurse Practitioners Training Program Graduates Continue to Grow in UH Dermatology Program
Application to the program is limited. Candidates considered for the program are those with career goals to practice in a rigorous academic setting as part of the dermatology care team at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
Past graduates from our program have maintained their commitment to high quality dermatology team care by continuing employment with University Hospitals Department of Dermatology and the Cleveland Veteran’s Administration Medical Center Department of Dermatology. Their professional development has blossomed as national leaders and innovators in interprofessional education. The UH Department of Dermatology provides encouragement but does not require nurse practitioner (NP) trainees who desire to extend their professional development to go on to complete a DNP or PhD in nursing as well as participation in scholarly research and publications.
The NP Dermatology Post-Masters Training Program is funded by UH Department of Dermatology. NP residents must be board certified NPs in a primary population focus after completion of an accredited Master’s in Nursing nurse practitioner program. NP trainees must be a licensed advanced practice registered nurse with the Ohio Board of Nursing and under the Ohio Revised Codes.
They are hired as full employees with full benefits and credentialed through UH Cleveland Medical Center.
