Ensuring guests have all the services they need during their visit is one way we work to provide a less stressful hospital experience. With this goal in mind, we offer the following amenities:

Free Wi-Fi

UH Portage Medical Center is pleased to provide free wireless high-speed internet access for our patients and guests. To connect, please follow these steps:

1. Turn on your WiFi-enabled device: smartphone, tablet or laptop.
2. Connect to the wireless network UH_Guest.
3. Launch the web browser and go to the website www.UHhospitals.org.
4. Read the user agreement and click Accept.
5. If you do not see a UH welcome page, you may need to configure the SSID or network name to UH_Guest.

Pastoral Care for Spiritual Needs

University Hospitals Portage Medical Center is committed to total patient care, which includes attention to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of each patient in collaboration with their healthcare team. Our chaplain and associate chaplains are available 24 hours a day to assist and nurture hope within the spiritual and religious traditions of our patients and families.

Services provided by Pastoral Care include:

• Spiritual/pastoral care
• Spiritual assessment, intervention, comfort and nurturing
• Facilitation and support of the religious practices of all faiths

Personal clergy and spiritual/religious leaders are welcome and encouraged to visit their own members who are in the hospital.

UH Portage Medical Center Chapel

The Portage Medical Center Chapel, located in the hospital main lobby, is open for prayer, meditation and reflection for people of all faiths.

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)

For the convenience of our patients and visitors, UH Portage Medical Center has an ATM located in the hospital’s main lobby, next to the gift shop.

Perks Cafe

Perks is a gourmet coffee, deli and snack shop that proudly serves Starbucks Coffee^® – a smooth premium brand with blends to meet most coffee tastes. We offer freshly brewed regular, decaf and a flavored coffee daily. We also sell authentic espresso beverages and will hand-craft you a latte, cappuccino, mocha, Chai tea latte and more.

Our breakfast menu includes steel cut oats cooked fresh every morning and customizable with your choice of real fruit or nut toppings. We also offer breakfast Paninis in three delicious varieties, grilled on whole wheat English muffins for a great start to your day – or anytime. They are available all day.

For a more indulgent treat, try our Nature Valley^® Soft Baked Bars made with whole grains.

Browse our Grab-n-Go Gourmet deli case where you will find a weekly lineup of menu items that are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients with an emphasis on good nutrition. For a hot lunch, we recommend a Perks Panini. Try one of these signature golden-grilled sandwiches or look for our Grab-n-Go Gourmet deli sandwiches.

Perks accepts cash, MasterCard, Visa and Discover. We also accept the Perks gift card. Call ahead ordering is available. Perks is open to the general public.

Lost and Found

If a guest finds an item that does not belong to them or is missing an item that may have been left in the hospital, please visit the main lobby reception desk or call Protective Services at extension 2723 or 330-297-2723 from outside the hospital.
