Admitting and Registration at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center

Located on the ground floor near the main entrance, Admitting and Patient Registration is open daily from 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. For questions, please call 440-743-4085.

Inpatient Admissions

Patients whose physician has ordered overnight admission at University Hospitals Parma Medical Center should report to the ground floor admission office. The staff there will process registration, verify insurance, update information and have the patient sign consent forms.

Patients should bring any insurance cards and picture ID for our staff to scan. Patients will then be given an identification bracelet and taken to their room by nursing staff.

After-hours services are provided through the Emergency Department registration on the first floor.

Outpatient Radiology Scheduling

Surgery Scheduling

All patients scheduled for surgery will be called prior to their surgery date to pre-register for their procedure. At this time insurance and other information will be obtained. If a co-payment is due, the patient will be asked to pay by credit card or make a payment the day of surgery.

Pre-Admission Testing

A Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) staff member will call patients whose doctor has ordered a pre-admissions test to schedule an appointment.

At this time the patient may be required to give a short medical history.

Outpatient Registration

Outpatient registration is located at the Outpatient Center in Medical Arts Center 4, 6305 Powers Boulevard in Parma. Convenient hours include:

• Monday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. (Lab services available until 6:30 p.m.)
• Saturday: 6:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Lab services available until 1 p.m.)
• We are closed on Sundays and holidays

Patients are asked to register 20 minutes before their scheduled appointment. At this time the registrar will verify insurance benefits and update individual patient information.

It is very important that every patient bring a picture ID and current insurance cards, along with your physician order. This information is then scanned into the patient record. All co-payments are due at the time of service.
