Currently, only UH Lake West Medical Center, UH Tripoint Medical Center, UH Beachwood Medical Center and the Lake Health Physician Group (LHPG) are contracted and considered in-network with Molina Marketplace plan. All other UH hospitals, physicians and ancillary providers are out of network. Because not all UH locations are in-network, it causes confusion for patients and staff and creates issues for continuity of care.
The termination will be effective January 1, 2025.
No, the termination only applies to the Molina Marketplace plan product. University Hospitals will continue as an in-network provider for Molina Medicaid and Molina Medicare plans.
UH will continue to participate as an in-network provider with the following Marketplace plans for 2025:
- Aetna CVS Health
- Ambetter from Buckeye Health Plan
- Caresource Marketplace
- Medical Mutual – Northern Ohio HMO
Although UH is not in a position to advise or recommend specific plans or benefits, if you wish to maintain access to your current UH physician and University Hospitals, you should consider choosing a plan that provides full in-network access to UH. Visit the Marketplace website at www.healthcare.gov for more information.
