Communication with Referring Physicians for Wound Care

When a patient is referred to the wound center, the patient meets with our staff for a consultation, which includes an examination and medical history evaluation. Our team will then consult with the referring physician to establish the appropriate treatment plan, with information regarding the patient’s progress shared on an ongoing basis. Our intention is to have the referring physicians remain an active member of the wound care management team, and then work to transition the patient back under their care once treatments are complete.
