In partnership with UH Urology Institute, UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital is proud to be one of the few hospitals in the country to offer academically and clinically integrated urology and urogynecology. The division provides multidisciplinary leadership in urology, gynecology, urogynecology, colorectal surgery, neurology, and physical therapy to deal with a full range of female pelvic floor issues. Our physicians understand the unique concerns of women and are dedicated to a fundamental improvement in treatment comprehensively and compassionately. Nonsurgical therapies are emphasized whenever appropriate.

- Gynecologic Oncology

Division of Gynecologic Oncology’s cancer care team is integrated with UH Seidman Cancer Center and other UH OBGYN specialists to ensure that the latest treatments and technologies address the special concerns of women with cancers of the reproductive system, including a clear emphasis on quality of life, fertility concerns, and a nurturing clinical environment. Our team is also a leading member of the National Cancer Institute-funded NRG Oncology.
- Maternal Fetal Medicine

When mother and/or fetus are at increased risk for complications, the Maternal-Fetal Medicine team offers the advantages of focused, coordinated care for all phases of high-risk pregnancy – from preconception through pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum care. Led by nationally recognized MFM specialists and working in multiple community locations, our teams provide highly integrated, state-of-the-art prenatal diagnosis, fetal intervention, and seamless transition from fetal to neonatal care.
- Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

Our team of fellowship-trained gynecologic surgeons is committed to providing the least invasive surgical options for our patients. We offer comprehensive care for common to complex benign gynecologic conditions, including minimally invasive options for large fibroid uterus, endometriosis, adnexal masses, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor disorders, and reproductive anomalies. Our team performs surgery with small incisions to provide faster recovery, less postoperative pain, fewer complications, and shorter hospital stay.
- Nurse Midwifery

As the largest midwifery practice in the region, we provide personalized, family-centered care for low-risk pregnancies. Midwives provide both partnership and outstanding statistical outcomes through evidence-based practice. Nurse-midwives also provide a range of gynecological services for women throughout their lives, including adolescent gynecology, well-woman visits, annual exams, contraceptive services, menopausal care, and convenient access to more specialized care from physician colleagues whenever needed.
- Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

Our team offers technically advanced, evidence-based medical care for infertility and other reproductive hormonal issues, including endometriosis, menstrual disorders and menopause. The board-certified team in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility provides exceptional care in a truly compassionate, patient-centered environment. Providers are among the most experienced in the nation in multiple aspects of the field, including infertility, in vitro fertilization, reproductive endocrinology, fertility preservation in cancer patients, and fertility care for patients over age 40.
