Kidney Cancer Specific Research and Clinical Trials
Our nationally recognized researchers and clinicians are leaders in renal cancer research, making important discoveries in advancing the diagnosis and treatment of the disease through kidney cancer clinical trials. By participating in a clinical trial, patients have access to cutting-edge treatments that may not be available elsewhere.
UH Seidman Cancer Center’s internationally recognized radiation oncology experts are on the Renal Task Force for the National Cancer Institute, which evaluates national and international research opportunities to improve kidney cancer care. University Hospitals actively participates in the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) group, conducting pivotal, multi-institutional phase II and phase III trials. Furthermore, University Hospitals participates in the International Radiation Oncology Consortium for Kidney (IROCK), gathering data to improve outcomes of kidney cancer patients treated with stereotactic ablative radiotherapy.
