Patient Experience Reviews
*** the provider actually takes the necessary time to sit with you to explain your condition and treatment options. Best experience I have had with a provider. I appreciated the time he took.
Salata is fantastic. He seemed a little short of patience on this visit but I imagine it was because my case is complex & I had a lot of input. The young lady doctor was amazingly patient with me before Salata came in. Her & the entire staff should recieve 11's. Salata gets a 9+ on this visit. I would trust him to do another hip surgery for me in an instant because he is a top notch doctor.
Dr Salata is someone whom I very much trust with his expertise and advice. I saw him again for pain in my hip and my back - it has been frustrating to find a root cause as to why my back in particular hurts so much - and then for the pain to move to the hip. Dr Salata spent an hour talking with me about MRI findings in my hip and his willingness to perform a diagnostic hip arthroscopy. His thoughts were that a procedure could make things potentially worse vs benefits. It was a conversation I felt I needed to have, as I've been at a loss for trying to get back to my normal exercise routines and even being able to sleep without pain. I feel from my time knowing Dr Salata over 4+ years that he truly cares about my well being and wants me to be in a place where I can live my life on my own terms, albeit with potential constraints (limit running). For as much as I was hoping the hip MRI would be a smoking gun into my pain, Dr Salata has me accepting that my hip is in the best condition it can be in and likely isn't the cause of my pain. I wish it was easier to get with other providers at UH who are as compassionate and as good at what they do as Dr Salata is. Thank you for caring for me.
Dr. Shana Goldstein-Ptahia was amazing! She gave great care and referrals! Grateful to have been randomly scheduled with her! Definitely will return for my yearly
Dr. Salata and his team were very helpful with all of my concerns. All of my options were laid out to me after they listened to my medical history. I would go back to Dr. Salata in a heartbeat for future care.
