U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is the only Ohio-based hospital to be named to U.S. News & World Report’s inaugural list of Best Regional Hospitals for Equitable Access. Additionally, the academic medical center has again been named by U.S. News & World Report to its Best Hospitals list, an achievement it has made 26 years in a row.

Gold Level ELSO Award for Excellence in Life Support

University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute’s ECMO program at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center earned the Gold Level ELSO Award for exemplary care of people with life-threatening illness that affects the heart or lungs.

Modern Healthcare Diversity Leaders Award

At University Hospitals, our community health initiatives are not just programs; they are a promise to create a healthier, more equitable world. One important way we do that is by creating a diverse and compassionate culture, which promotes equity internally and externally, both in how we care for our patients and the community. Celina Cunanan, UH’s Chief Diversity, Equity & Belonging Officer, helps champion these efforts. In 2024, she was honored as a Diversity Leader by Modern Healthcare, a “Chief Diversity Officer to Know” by Becker’s and received an Excellence in HR award in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category by Crain’s. These awards affirm our dedication and inspire us to continue leading with love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those we serve.
