Study Purpose

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about how being hospitalized in the PICU may affect a child’s development. Being critically ill can affect all parts of the body, including the brain. From prior studies, we think that around 1 in 10 PICU patients have issues with attention, memory, and thinking after being discharged from the PICU
